Recently my College of Social Work in Ontario reminded me to complete the yearly Continuing Competence Program. Finally, I put the time in my schedule to do so and am I ever glad I did.
I took the time to read through each section within the lens of bringing energy healing into private practice. No surprise, the number one focus is on providing quality care to our clients.
When we bring energy healing into our psychotherapy practice, that is the number one focus too.
Many practitioners use art, yoga, dance, mindfulness, psychedelics and so much more into therapy. Energy healing, like all of these things is simply another modality.
That being said, the practice of energy healing, while growing more common, still brings a prickle or surge of anxiety for many practitioners.
I’m curious to hear from you, what are your main fears or concerns about bringing energy healing into your private practice?
Two common ones are:
1) The ethics of bringing in physical touch
2) Fear of being judged by colleagues and/or clients
What is your number one fear? (or two or fourteen)
I’m in the midst of creating a Free Workshop for the New Year – 3 Models To Blend Energy Healing Into Your Private Practice. One of those models will include the practice of energy healing without physical touch. The great thing about energy healing, is that touch is often optional.
If you’re ready to get started, I currently offer Private Practice Consulting where we can start the process to confidently adding energy healing to your practice. I’ll guide you through the first steps, how-to’s and answer those burning questions.
I’m looking forward to sharing more with you and helping you blend energy healing and psychotherapy with confidence.
