The lead character in Netflix’s The Residence is Cordelia Cupp. She is a world-renowned detective and bird enthusiast. Whenever someone asks if she thinks a person is a suspect, she says, “No, but I think that person is interesting.”
Recently I saw Joe Dispenza’s latest preview of upcoming retreats and the new one listed for this summer was in Washington D.C. I channelled my inner Cordelia Cupp and internally thought to myself, “Well isn’t that interesting”. He’s also going there in May.
I know things are rocky in the political sphere of the USA right now. Here in Canada we are feeling the ripples of it all too.
My encouragement is to keep aligning your Hara. Hara is a place where we move away from who is right and who is wrong and connect with each other & the world. It is a place that aligns us with the earth & with the universe/God/spirit guides. If you haven’t signed up for my free 3 part series on clearing your chakras, aligning your Hara and expanding your Core Star – you can sign up on my website.
Hara is a place to centre amidst the noise and then act from a grounded place.
Birds & Wild-Life
Perhaps it’s spending time with Coredlia Cupp that’s inspired me to notice all the birds that surround me in my town. As I wrote about in my last post, I find April to be quite challenging. Another thing that has helped me ride the highs and lows of this month is taking pleasure in seeing all the birds. I have been seeing so many robins and so many vultures. The Robins are busy and the Vultures have been playing in the wind. For myself, I see the robins as the quiet protectors and the vultures as representing purification & transformation. So the quiet protectors are busy and very present and the vultures are playing. Take it as you will.
One of my sisters & I went and looked at our local art-auction and we saw so many paintings of foxes. According to my Medicine Cards by Jamie Sams & David Carson, Foxes represent camouflage. Last year, there has been a sharp increase in fox sightings in my town. Foxes have shifted from blending in to showing themselves more frequently. Last year foxes were snacking on the squirrels in my neighbourhood, and I kept my cat inside at dusk & dawn for fear she’d become a snack too.
The Gene Key‘s Animal Codex writes this about the fox, “That which you hold sacred, I will upturn it in a great crash in the middle of the night. That which you hold vile or evil, I will set it upon an altar and show you how precious it is. Whichever way you see things, I will set it on its side. Oh you had better beware if I have stepped into your circle”
Seems fitting for this time, doesn’t it?
What animals have been crossing your path?
